Trick-or-treating isn’t the only fun Halloween activity! Here are some fun and spooky themed activities you can do with your preschooler for the whole month of October.
Let your preschooler flex their creative muscles with some Halloween arts and crafts. Print out spooky coloring sheets or decorate your own witch’s hat with confetti and ribbon. From turning your living room into a haunted house to making jack-o-lanterns, (or drawing a face on a pumpkin as a mess-free alternative) the options are infinite.
If your kiddo loves joining you in the kitchen, baking some Halloween treats is a sure way to get everyone into the Halloween spirit. Make an easy option like spiders on a log (like ants on a log but with plastic spiders instead of raisins) for a snack or go all out with pumpkin treats like pumpkin cupcakes. Whatever you choose, blast some Halloween tunes and dance while you wait for your goodies to be made!
DIY Halloween costumes
Halloween costumes don’t have to break the bank! You can spend the afternoon creating for fun or to wear for trick-or-treating. Roll your preschooler in toilet paper to make a mummy, or design your own fairy princess outfit with glitter, a tutu, a wand, and a crown.
Print out some BINGO sheets, grab your favorite candy as place markers, and you’ve got BINGO—Halloween style! Play your favorite Halloween movie in the background for a fun night at home!
