Why Kids 'R' Kids?

Each school is individually-owned and operated. Our owners are on-site and take a very active role in the management of their school.

We find it important for children to have opportunities to construct their own knowledge through exploration, interaction with materials, and introduction to positive role models. Our exclusive core curriculum focuses on age-appropriate activities based upon the latest brain development research, along with our STEAM Ahead® Curriculum which incorporates science, technology, engineering, art, and math into a child’s day-to-day learning.

Staff members attend professional development classes throughout each year to offer the best early care and education for every child. Our teachers understand that each child is unique, and their development depends on how they respond to each day’s “Aha” moments. Staff members are also certified in CPR and First Aid, and our Kids ‘R’ Kids training standards exceed minimum state requirements.

Kids ‘R’ Kids was founded on the philosophy that every child should be “hugged first and then taught.” Research shows that children need guidance and education early on. Children learn at a more rapid pace in the first 5 years than at any other time of their lives, therefore, children need the proper guidance and education from a young age. At Kids ‘R’ Kids, we believe in helping each one capture as much knowledge as possible during their precious time with us. However, before learning can occur, a child needs to feel loved, safe and confident in their learning environment.

Establishing children by developmental milestones allows for a safer, smarter, and more structured classroom. Ensuring age-appropriate classrooms also provides each child a more engaging way to learn with peers.

Communicating with our families is essential. Families receive written or electronic daily reports, explaining activities such as classroom lessons, meal times, nap times, outdoor play, and educational progress. Many of our schools have video cameras throughout the facility where family members, near and far, can view their child’s daily progress securely using their computer or mobile device.

Every family can see what makes our Academies exceptional just by walking through the front door. The multiple classrooms, complete with floor-to-ceiling tempered-glass walls and doors, offer each child the advantage of learning at his or her own developmental pace. These features also aid in the seamless transition the next level classroom when prepared. Each classroom is also equipped with child-sized amenities such as sinks and restrooms, and separate playgrounds for the various developmental stages.

From our buses to our classrooms, we provide the ultimate in child safety and security. Our buildings are designed with front door coded entry and open lobbies where our front desk administrators greet everyone coming and going. You’ll also see cameras for security and all enrolled families are given online access. Every classroom is designed with safety features and has direct access to the outdoors in case of an emergency.

Our newest generation is growing up in the digital age, where everything is touch activated. Our schools have Smart Board technology with Internet capabilities to log on and visit the world from the classroom. Our curriculum also correlates with the award-winning ABCmouse.com for online activities designed to reinforce lessons from the classroom to home.

In our commercial-grade kitchen and cafeteria, you can see our meals are prepared on-site by a certified Kids ‘R’ Kids chef. Our Academies follow the USDA guidelines in preparing meals and snacks.
