Create DIY rainbow wind chimes to enjoy all year.
The warm weather is perfect for outdoor nature walks with your little ones and collecting sticks for your wind chimes. Paint them a variety of colors, screw an eye hook into one end of each stick, and use wire or twine to hang them. Then sit back, relax, and wait for a breeze!
Make a rainbow puzzle with popsicle sticks.
Line them up, paint a rainbow using the seven classic colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet), and separate the sticks after they dry. Have fun watching your child work his very own puzzle.
Make your own bookmarks.
If you’ve got a bookworm on your hands, you can make the ultimate summer bookmark with minimal materials! All you need is a popsicle stick and a handful of colorful buttons of different sizes to create your flower-shaped bookmark. Every time your tot turns the page, they’ll be reminded of the sunshine right outside their door.
Create your own handprint bouquet in two easy steps.
Using a variety of paint colors, add a few handprints to the upper-mid section of a blank sheet of paper. Next, take a thin brush and some green paint to create the stem of your handprint bouquet. This ‘hands-on’ craft will be a hit among your preschoolers.
