Snack: Trail Mix

The perfect on-the-go snack!

Celebrating goals and achievements is a terrific way to boost your child’s self-esteem, and this simple snack is a healthy way to do this! Let your child take charge preparing the recipe and encourage him or her to talk about measuring the ingredients, feeling the textures, and tasting the flavors.  It’s a fun way to work on social skills, communication, and math!

Ingredients:

  • Granola
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Dried cranberries
  • Yogurt covered raisins

Steps:

  1. ½ cup granola
  2. ½ cup sunflower seeds
  3. ½ cup dried cranberries
  4. ½ cup of yogurt covered raisins
  5. leave room in your trail-mix container to shake and mix ingredients
