This snack is colorful and delicious!
Rainbows are one of nature’s greatest spectacles, and this activity is a fun way to talk about how the ordinary science of light and color is something really quite extraordinary – just like people are! Counting, stringing the fruit loops, and learning the rainbow spectrum (R.O.Y.G.B.I.V.) all come into play to make a delicious treat that is beautiful.
Materials:
- Pipe cleaner
- 2 large slices of banana
- Fruit Loops cereal
Instructions:

Literacy Connection:
Exclamation Mark by Amy Krouse Rosenthal is a surprising story of an extraordinary exclamation mark who learns that when you start small and embrace who you are, you can feel good about speaking boldly.
