Snack: Fruit Kabob

Fruit Kabobs are a fun way to stay healthy!

When preschoolers help to prepare nutritious snacks, they are learning how to make healthy choices. Do you have a child who is hesitant to try new foods? When children help prepare meals and snacks, they are more likely to try it and enjoy it! Simple fruit kabobs are a fun way to let small children practice motors skills with cutting and grasping, as well as experiencing different senses with aromas, textures, and tastes. You can even incorporate mathematical thinking with counting, patterns, and comparisons.
