Celebrate spring with fun shamrock pretzels!

This creative activity strengthens fine motor skills as kids shape pretzels, dip them in candy coating, and add sprinkles. Along the way, they explore basic math and science, learning about measurement and transformation. Following steps builds focus, while working together encourages teamwork. The finished treats become a sweet symbol of creativity and learning!

Ingredients:

– Green candy melts

– Mini pretzel twists

– Pretzel sticks

Instructions:

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside.

2. In a bowl, melt candy melts according to directions.

3. Using a fork, dip 1 pretzel stick in the melted candy coating, allowing excess to drain back into the bowl.

4. Place on prepared baking sheet.

5. Dip 3 mini pretzel twists into the melted candy coating, allowing excess to drain back into the bowl.

6. Place each mini pretzel twist around one end of the pretzel stick to form a shamrock shape.

7. Add a small amount of extra candy melt over the seams where the pretzel pieces meet to secure the shamrock shape.

8. Allow to stand until set & enjoy!
