This cheerful paper plate flower craft is a simple and fun way for kids to celebrate spring while building fine motor skills and creativity.
Materials:
– Paper plates
– Wooden stick
– Paint
– Paintbrush
– Construction paper
– Glue
– Scissors (adult use only)
Instructions:
1. Cut out flower leaves from green construction paper. Paint the wooden stick green to serve as the stem.
2. Paint one paper plate yellow for the flower base. 3. Paint the inside of another paper plate purple and let both plates dry completely.
4. Once dry, cut a circle from the purple plate to create the center of the flower and glue it onto the yellow plate.
5. Cut slits around the edge of the yellow plate to create petals.
6. Gently bend or curl the petals forward to give the flower dimension.
7. Glue the stem and leaves onto the back of the yellow plate.
