Spring Activities for Preschoolers

Spring Activities for Preschoolers at Kids 'R' Kids Tomball, daycare, childcare, preschool, learning academy

Spring has sprung, so step outside! From gardening to camping, all four of these spring activities will have your preschool child smiling from March through May.

Bake spring sugar cookies with your preschool child.

You can get as creative as you’d like with this tasty spring activity. Use flower shaped cookie cutters to bake up a cookie garden, or stick with a simpler oval shape to create ladybugs or Easter eggs. Have fun with multi-colored icing and sprinkles, and enjoy!

Start a garden.

Want fresh herbs and vegetables growing in your very own backyard? How about a beautiful landscape of flowers to take your home to the next level? You can start your very own garden in 10 easy steps. Incorporate your preschooler when choosing which seeds to plant, and have them help you water your garden each day. You can even pick out a dinner recipe together involving different ingredients from your garden.

Go camping.

Whether you’re planning spring break or simply wanting to take a weekend trip, there is no better family bonding experience than camping. Make sure to prepare for the trip by purchasing a durable tent, packing according to the weather, and bringing plenty of food, water, and sunscreen (don’t forget the marshmallows and graham crackers!). You can read up on more camping tips by clicking here.

Have a picnic.

Outdoor picnics are a wonderful way to get fresh air and enjoy quality time as a family. Pack up your picnic basket and head to the park to make the most of your sunny spring days. Classic club sandwiches and single serving containers of pasta salad are perfectly portable. Throw in sliced bananas and strawberries for a serving of fresh fruit, and cookies for dessert. Yum!

Spring means longer days and warmer weather, so head outdoors, explore nature, and get active as a family. Try something new, and have fun!
