What Crafts Can You Make With Preschool Children?

What Crafts Can You Make With Preschool Children? at Kids 'R' Kids Fort Mill, preschool, daycare, childcare

Summer will be here before you know it, and you may want to stock up on some seasonal craft ideas to keep your kiddos busy in the coming months. Give these creative activities a try to kick off the summer fun!

3D Flowers

Make vases of 3D flowers by “planting” flowers with popsicle stick stems and button petals glued to paper in colorful containers. For added fun, decorate the containers using markers, glue, and glitter. Or you can use a clear mason jar as your vase and fill it up with rocks, soil, or leaves.

Bookmarks

If you’ve got a bookworm on your hands, you can make the ultimate spring-themed bookmark with minimal materials! All you need is a popsicle stick and a handful of colorful buttons of different sizes to create your flower-shaped bookmark.

Wind Chimes

Make rainbow wind chimes to enjoy all year. The warm weather provides the perfect opportunity to head outside and enjoy a nature walk with your little ones while collecting sticks for your wind chimes. Paint them a variety of colors, screw an eye hook into one end of each stick, and use wire or twine to hang them. Then sit back, relax, and wait for a breeze!

Paper Plate Animals

With paint, crayons, or markers, you can transform white paper plates into your favorite animals! You can even use buttons, cotton balls, and pipe cleaner to bring your paper plate picture to life. Check out these adorable chickens, bunnies, and even ladybugs.

Rain or shine, these seasonal crafts will keep your youngsters entertained and fully engaged all day long. So, call over your little ones, grab any needed materials, and get crafting!
