Policies
Enhancing your experience every day!
Policies for excellence and peace of mind
The relationship between families and school staff is vital to the success of a child’s early learning experience. Through the use of open communication, we believe building a teacher-parent partnership will benefit the child in making a positive connection between school and home.
At Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Fort Mill, we provide nutritious meals and snacks to support your child’s healthy growth and development. Our program includes daily breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for enrolled children.
For infants who are bottle-fed, families are required to provide prepared formula or breast milk in labeled bottles. All bottles must be taken home at the end of each day. Additional infant feeding guidelines, including our baby food policy, are available upon request.
To ensure safety and organization, all infant items must be clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name, as well as the date.
For children eating table food, menus are available for families to review, helping you stay informed about your child’s daily nutrition. If your child has food allergies or special dietary needs, please contact us discuss accommodations.
At Kids ‘R’ Kids of Fort Mill, we believe in complete transparency when it comes to tuition and fees. Families receive a detailed fee schedule that clearly outlines all costs associated with enrollment.
The tuition and fee schedule will include clear information about:
- Tuition rates
- Available discounts (if applicable)
- Late payment fees
- Activity or program fees
- Registration and enrollment fees
- Returned check fees
- Any school-specific charges
Transportation is provided to and from public, private elementary, or grade schools designated by our school as part of our After School Program.
Transportation Agreements are signed once for each school year. Vehicle Emergency Forms must be completed, and information must be kept up-to-date.
If at any time your child will not be picked up by Kids ‘R’ Kids of Fort Mill from public school at the end of the school day, you must notify Kids ‘R’ Kids in advance. Kids ‘R’ Kids will inform you of the time by which you must make this notification.
We provide bus service from these elementary schools: Tega Cay Elementary, Orchard Park Elementary, Riverview Elementary, Pleasant Knoll Elementary and Springfield Elementary. Also, transportation for children attending Gold Hill Elementary to our school is provided by the Fort Mill School System Transportation Department.
All children participating in field trips with Kids ‘R’ Kids Fort Mill must have a signed and dated Field Trip Permission Form on file.
Families must also complete a Vehicle Emergency Form and keep all information current and up to date.
For safety and identification purposes, children must wear a Kids ‘R’ Kids t-shirt and a wristband on all field trips.
Internet access to your child’s classroom is protected by a password. By enrolling your child at Kids ‘R’ Kids Fort Mill, you acknowledge and consent that your child may be viewed online by authorized individuals who have access to the password.
The safety of the children is our first concern in the event of an emergency such as severe weather, fire, physical damage to the building—or any other situation that poses a threat.
Our school is equipped with a fire alarm sprinkler system and fire extinguishers. Fire and severe weather drills are conducted every 30 days.
If there is an emergency and it becomes necessary to close the school, parents will be notified to arrange for early pick-up.
Families will also be instructed by the school, using local TV and/or social media channels to provide closing information, if there is inclement weather and it is determined that the school will not open.
If an emergency develops and it is determined that the building or premises is unsafe, your child(ren) will be transported to a safe location. Families will be notified of the situation and you will be required to pick up your child(ren) as soon as possible.
At Kids ‘R’ Kids Fort Mill, we believe children learn best in a supportive and caring environment. Instead of traditional discipline, we use positive guidance to help children understand expectations, build self-control, and develop important social skills. Our approach encourages respect, kindness, and confidence while helping every child feel safe, valued, and supported.
