Summer may be coming to a close, but you still have a few final weeks to make the most of this exciting season! From water hose limbo, to sidewalk chalk Pictionary, to a day packed with classic board games – this list has you covered whether you want to cool off outdoors or spend the day inside. Check it out!
Water Hose Limbo
Water hose limbo is the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day while having a blast! Simply place your thumb over the hose spout or use a hose nozzle to get a stream going. Each child must try to pass under the stream of water while leaning back. If they get wet, they are eliminated! Lower the hose little by little every time someone passes successfully. The final winner is the player who passes successfully under the lowest stream without getting wet.
Sidewalk Chalk Pictionary
This twist on pictionary is tons of fun. All you need is a bucket of sidewalk chalk and your imagination! Get the family together and head to the driveway to play an exciting game of Pictionary. Each player gets a turn drawing the picture of their choice (without telling the other players what they’re creating). Whoever can guess what is being drawn the fastest is the big winner!
Classic Board Games
Playing classic board games is a fantastic way to spend quality time with the entire family, all while avoiding the summer heat. Twister, Candyland, and Chutes and Ladders are just a few of our personal favorites. Did you know you can even design your very own game?
