Our Learning Environment & Discovering the World
Our classrooms are designed to support hands-on STEM lessons and activities. You may even notice that any given unit can cover all of the aspects of STEM. Let’s take a closer look at some specific activities that your kids may partake in. For a weather unit, for example, you can expect:
- Science: Learning about clouds and the weather
- Math: Charting weekly temperatures, determining the average temperature for a given month
- Technology: It’s not hard to believe that tablets, computers, and other technology is a central part of lessons. We will use tablets in a constructive way so kids learn how to use them as tools. In this case, they may track weather patterns.
- Engineering: Maybe we will build mini shelters with toothpicks and marshmallows to test what weather conditions they can withstand.
