We are seeking a VPK Lead Teacher to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children.

Responsibilities

• Instruct VPK preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Maintain daily routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students’ growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications

• Valid Child Development Associate Certification (Required)
• Education: minimum of high school or equivalent
• Must have CDA credentials
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Additional Information

• Pay: $15 – $16 per hour
• Full-time & part-time positions available
• 45 hour DCF State Mandated training preferred but will train the right candidate
• Must pass a Level 2 Background Screening

We are opening a new Toddler Room at our Center and looking for an experienced, dedicated teacher who can take charge of the new room. Must be a great communicator and have a positive attitude.
