It’s Time To Return To In-School VPK Learning

Report cards for the first quarter of the year are out. Many families can see that virtual learning is not a good fit for their students. Virtual Learning Fatigue is hitting families with young students the hardest.

Is your child putting in the time in front of their computer or tablet but not learning? They aren’t alone! Children across the U.S.A. are struggling to stay engaged and absorb their online lessons. Young children, who learn best through play-oriented educational activities, are suffering the most.

The finest online curriculum can’t compare to in-person learning in a real-life classroom with peers and a skilled teacher. Both national and international studies have found that in-person schooling does not correlate to the spread of the coronavirus if proper precautions are taken.

Benefits of In-Person Pre-K and VPK

In-person school is incredibly valuable for preschool age students (ages 3 to 4). Pre-K and VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) programs are designed to give young children a strong foundation to enter kindergarten. Preschool programs:

  • Help young children learn how to play with their peers.
  • Build children’s self-confidence as they master tasks without the help of a parent.
  • Teach kids how to behave in a classroom setting.
  • Engage children’s minds through fun activities such as songs and creative play.

Young children can’t gain these critical developmental skills sitting in front of a screen. Kids ‘R Kids pre-K and VPK programs provide children with learning and development that will benefit them for the rest of their lives!

Florida leads the nation in prekindergarten access. Any child in Florida that will be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 is eligible to enroll in VPK. The partial day program is free to parents, though many opt for additional care. If you aren’t familiar with Florida’s VPK program, check out the Office of Early Learning’s VPK Facts Sheet for Families!

Young students who graduate from Kids’ R Kids’ accredited VPK program have an accelerated elementary school foundation. We offer additional services to families so that we can accommodate your schedule. You can choose to utilize our flexible drop-off and pick-up times.
