Summer camp registration is here! Parents & young children can benefit from our incredible summer camp program that features a unique camp theme each week. From developing independence to creating a fun summer learning experience while relaxing and expanding social relationships, your child will grow beyond measure during the few short weeks of our Kids ‘R’ Kids summer camp.
This year’s Kids ‘R’ Kids “Rock the World” summer camp program is the ideal destination for 5 to 12 year old boys and girls in the Avalon Park area. Your kids will love taking field trips, playing on our very own Splash Pad or in one of our 7 playgrounds on hot summer days, and partaking in a plethora of crafts & fun activities!
We are looking forward to summer camp this June 4th! During our 10-week summer camp series, campers explore their hidden talents, potential passions and intriguing interests. Each boy and girl will experience art and cooking, engineering and community service, and everything in-between!
Here is what your child can look forward to when they sign up for “Rock the World” summer camp:
Week 1- KID POWER – June 4th – June 8th
Explore Heroes around the world to create an Unforgettable superhero story of your own that combines STEAM concepts with special powers featuring you!
Week 2 – CREATION DESTINATION – June 11th – June 15th
Take a step into your artistic journey exploring destinations of famous artists across the globe while creating masterpieces in a variety of creative techniques.
Week 3- EPIC ESCAPE – June 18th – June 22nd
Solve “the who done it” cases from favorite children’s literature and global mysteries throughout history. Use secret code, detective work, teamwork and problem-solving to reveal the plots of epic literature.
Week 4 – MELTING POT – June 25th – June 29th
Get involved in making the world a better place by visiting new cultures, exploring unique languages, cooking up new recipes using math and science, and creating new traditions for your family.
Week 5 – GLOBE TROTTER – July 2nd – July 6th
Be a worldwide athletic globetrotter! Race through countries that are known for their sports. We’ll learn about teamwork, create a new game, design a mascot and try our hand at sportscasting.
Week 6 – OUR TOWN – July 9th – July 13th
From creating your own mascot to learning all about why our town rules, campers will have fun partaking in crafts, food, and an awesome field trip!
Week 7 – CLOUD EXPLORATION – July 16th – July 20th
Seek to unravel the mysteries of the cloud and digital world through a trendy blend of games, puzzles, and LEGO activities geared towards the language of computer science and coding.
Week 8 – STEAM REVOLUTION – July 23rd – July 27th
Calling all inventors to create something wonderful out of the ordinary. Combining elements of STEAM with environmentalism, protect the earth and the future generations by turning trash into treasure.
Week 9 – HABITAT HUNTERS – July 30th – August 3rd
Protect your planet by investigating the world’s many fascinating geographic regions, including your own backyard! Campers will use elements of geography, science, art and zoology to explore the world.
Week 10 – MIND BLAST – August 6th – August 10th
Build an original, interactive game using recycled materials found in your community. This is a fun-focused week that fuses innovation, imagination, and conservation.
The “Rock the World” summer camp is all about the journey to discover what suits each camper’s personality as well as the quest to discover what they like best!
