One of the greatest benefits of being a parent of a young child in the State of Florida is the Voluntary Prekindergarten program. The VPK program is a state-funded program that is designed to prepare four year olds for kindergarten in a formal school setting. If your child will be four years of age by September 1st and you a resident of Florida, you are eligible to enroll your child into a FREE VPK program of your choice.
Unlike many “public” VPK providers, Kids ‘R’ Kids Avalon Park is a private facility that comes with a number of great benefits. While typical public VPK providers are only able to offer a room or two in their child care facility, Kids ‘R’ Kids has an entire building and specially trained teachers dedicated to the VPK program. Our Enrichment Center offers both a Full-Day program and the state funded Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). The Full day Pre-K session is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and includes the state funded VPK program.
Our VPK program is specifically designed to prepare children both academically and emotionally for the environment, schedule, and academic requirements of kindergarten. The VPK program we offer gives 4 year olds an opportunity to work on literary skills like letter, shape and sound recognition along with confidence building exercises and plenty of play time and interaction with other children. These foundational skills are critical for future success as they enter Kindergarten and beyond.
The VPK Enrichment Center is a large campus that is complete with a technology room, two large playgrounds, and plenty of space to explore, play & grow. Since we have one of the largest Pre-Kindergarten programs in the area, we are able to incorporate many field trips and extra-curricular activities to make learning even more fun!
