Security
Visitors are restricted at Kids ‘R’ Kids facilities to ensure the building is secure and children are safe. Our facility also utilizes cameras which are monitored by staff. Parents may obtain a password to view classrooms online. Each staff member undergoes a background check, as well as training in CPR and first aid.
Cleanliness
Our facility has separate child restrooms, as well as child-sized sinks. Teachers model, teach, and monitor proper handwashing techniques. Disposable gloves are worn by staff when tending to children’s personal needs to prevent contamination between children. Student meals are prepared in a commercial grade kitchen by a trained chef to ensure proper food handling techniques.
Curriculum
Kids ‘R’ Kids uses First Class CurriculumⓇ. This curriculum encourages children to learn through play by presenting planned activities. This may be as simple as placing a book just out of reach of an infant who is learning to crawl to entice her to move toward the book and then reading the books with her to promote relationships and literacy skills. The curriculum is research based and supported by educational theories of Piaget, Vygotsky, and Smilansky. You can read more about this amazing curriculum here.
Classrooms and Playgrounds
Kids ‘R’ Kids has spent years fine-tuning classrooms. Each classroom is designed with windows in which children can view other classes. Being able to view the next class level, will help your child’s transition to the next class go much more smoothly. You will find separate storage for each child’s belongings within the classroom to ensure cleanliness. Classrooms also have direct access to a secure playground designed for the appropriate age group within that classroom.
