It’s easy to let the whole summer go by without thinking of heading back to school. While it’s fun to have an “endless summer” mindset, it’s not the most productive way to make sure your little one is ready to head back to school. This summer, try implementing these tips to make the transition from summer to school an easier one!
Ease into a morning routine.
Heading back to school means an earlier wake up time for your little one. To make the first few weeks easier, start waking them up earlier toward the end of summer. Little by little, their bodies will adjust to the earlier mornings. To make waking up even more fun, cook them one of their favorite breakfasts every once in a while!
Plan out your weekly schedule.
Weeknights have a way of filling up quickly once school starts back up. If your little one is involved in any sports or other activities, some of your weeknights will be spent getting them where they need to be. During the last few weeks of summer, make sure you have plans in place for how things are going to work once school has started. Make sure you plan out activities, but also schedule out family time so you’re not missing out on time with the ones you love most.
Go school supply shopping.
While there are several hard things about getting your preschooler ready for a new school year, school supply shopping doesn’t have to be one of them! Make sure you get the supply list in advance from your child’s preschool. When you do, go shopping early to ensure that you get what your child needs. Involve your little one in the process by letting them pick out a few fun things!
Back to school season can be a busy but exciting time. Don’t let it sneak up on you this year!
