It is that time of year again. Everyone is in search of the perfect gifts for their loved ones. Below are a few unique ideas that won’t clutter the toy box, if you have a preschooler on your gift list.
DIY Sensory Bin
Preschoolers love sensory play and it is important for their development. You can create a sensory bin personalized to your preschooler’s preferences and needs. If you’re concerned about possible messes, include a fun towel or sheet to place under the sensory bin to catch any spills. Learn more about sensory bins and how to create one here.
Special Piggy Bank
Why not start teaching your preschooler the value of money and how to save for the things she desires? Choose a bank that reflects your preschooler’s interests or create one with a large jar and vinyl decals. Provide your preschooler with some cash to start their savings. This is a gift that will be used and cherished for years to come!
Chances are your preschooler has had limited experience with the movie theater. Make a day of the adventure by going to eat before or after the movie and a stop at the park to run off any energy before or after sitting through a movie. Don’t forget the candy and popcorn to enjoy during the movie!
Purchase a yearly membership to a local child friendly museum (i.e. science center, butterfly house, ect.), zoo, or adventure park (i.e. trampoline park, water park, amusement park, ect.) for your preschooler to enjoy year round. The membership itself is only part of the gift. The memories you and your preschooler make throughout the year will be the ultimate treasure!
Hit up the local thrift stores and collect items your preschooler can use to play dress up. Choose a special box for storing the items. This is a gift that will surely bring many hours of imaginative play!
Gifts for preschoolers do not have to break the bank or add clutter to your home. Your little one is sure to love any gift you choose with her interests in mind, especially if it includes spending time with you!
