Back to school season always seems to sneak up. You’re enjoying the summer months off and all of the sudden, it’s August. With a little bit of advance planning, helping your preschooler head back to school this fall can be easier than ever! Keep reading below for a few tips on how to make the transition easier.
Ease into a morning routine.
Heading back to school means an earlier wake up time for your little one. To make the first few weeks easier, start waking them up earlier toward the end of summer. Little by little, their bodies will adjust to the earlier mornings. To make waking up even more fun, cook them one of their favorite breakfasts every once in a while!
Go school supply shopping.
While there are several hard things about getting your preschooler ready for a new school year, school supply shopping is always fun! Make sure you get the supply list in advance from your child’s preschool. When you do, start shopping early to ensure that you get what your child needs. Involve your little one in the process by letting them pick out a few fun things!
Plan out your preschooler’s lunches.
Something that can easily cause stress when your child heads back to school is thinking of what to pack in their lunch each day. You want to make sure your little one has nutritious food to eat for lunch, but you also don’t want the process of packing it to take hours. At the end of the summer, start planning out some easy kid-friendly lunches that you can pack them throughout the year. This way, you’ll know exactly what you need to get at the grocery store each week, and your preschooler will be excited about their yummy lunch each day!
