ABCmouse is an online early learning program developed by the team at Age of Learning Inc. For the Millennial parents out there, you may have used programs such as Jumpstart while growing up to learn multiplication and other key skills while advancing through grade school. Simply put, ABCmouse is a modern preschool equivalent of that, for ages 2-8. ABCmouse “offers a depth and breadth of educational content for young learners never before seen in one location, with more than 9,000 individual learning activities and more than 850 lesson plans.”
We are thrilled to use ABCMouse in our daily curriculum, but did you know you can use it at home too? If your child seems like they could use a little extra help with core subjects like reading or math, use ABCmouse alongside what they’re already learning in school!
A good way to make sure your child is getting what they need from ABCmouse is to follow what they’re doing in preschool. If they’re doing a unit in preschool on shapes, you may consider focusing on shapes and basic geometrical concepts with your little one through ABCmouse! This way, your child is learning the same things at school as they are at home.
