July 4th Crafts for Preschoolers

July 4th Crafts for Preschoolers

Independence Day is right around the corner, which means parades, parties, and tons of fun. From yummy treats, to party games, to creating your very own DIY fireworks art display, these four preschooler-friendly crafts will make your Fourth of July celebrations the very best they can be.

Dipped Ice Cream Cones

Satisfy your sweet tooth with these delicious 4th of July dipped ice cream cones! Keep it simple or get as creative as you’d like. Dip your cones in melted chocolate or colored candy, add sprinkles, and lay them top side down to harden!

Firework Salt Painting

Create your own colorful fireworks display with just a few materials! This firework salt painting uses salt, glue and watercolors to turn a simple black piece of paper into an exciting work of art! This one may be a little messy – but it’s just too fun to care!

DIY Can Toss

This next craft-ivity is perfect for parties! Take a few canned goods, make them as festive as you’d like, and stack ’em! Once you make your “rockets” (using small socks filled with rice and tied off with rubber bands) you’ve got a super fun DIY can toss

Sparkler Shield

This sparkler shield  is absolutely genius. If your little one is a bit of a Nervous Nelly around fireworks, this is the solution for you.  With a simple red solo cup, you can create a shield from any flying sparks and have a worry-free Fourth of July!

Firework Ribbon Wands

We love these DIY firework ribbon wands, and we’re sure you will too! Embrace the magic this Fourth of July with your little ones by creating festive red, white, and blue wands. If you like this craft, you’ll love the other ten others listed here, too. Abra-cadabra!

These star-spangled crafts are bound to brighten your Independence Day festivities this year. Enjoy spending time with family, stay safe, and have fun!
