Chef Chris is responsible for making delicious meals for our children every day. He has been a Chef, Caterer and Restaurant Manager for over sixteen years working in various cuisines. Now he enjoys providing balanced and nutritional food to our children (breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack). Chef Chris teaches a cooking class once a month for children three years old and up focusing on the importance of nutrition and safety while in the kitchen. Cooking can help young children learn and practice some basic math concepts and build language skills. The experience of creating meals with assistance can help build their self-confidence and lay the foundation for healthy eating habits.
Using technology to better communicate with parents
ELECTRONIC DAILY REPORTS
We use Procare Connect® to provide our families with paperless daily reports and instant communication about their child’s day. We believe that the quality of early childhood development is dependent on the connection between families and child care providers, and we found a fantastic tool to keep our families connected with their children’s preschool. The information can be received by email or though their app. Right from their email parents can play a video, share a photo, or reply to the director.

FIRST CLASS CURRICULUM
Kids ‘R’ Kids First Class Curriculum®, is based on the latest research and the highest academic standards. It offers different age appropriate approaches. The Infants Big Steps Curriculum® considers that brain development and acquiring knowledge begins prenatally and continues through life. In the Toddler Big Steps Curriculum® a child’s cognitive skills blossom with a multitude of activities designed to unleash their already inquisitive and creative nature. Our preschoolers are on an accelerated track to acquire literacy and cognitive skills through our standards-driven, play-based curriculum. All subject areas are covered in the Fast Track Curriculum®. Our G.Y.M. Curriculum® also offers field trips, as well as small group and independent student-selected projects. We also count with an exclusive Brain Waves Curriculum®, in which our goal is to provide stimulating learning experiences that support brain development and maximize children’s mental capacity.

STEAM AHEAD CURRICULUM
Our Education Specialist holds S.T.E.A.M. activities every day for children three years old and up in the S.T.E.A.M. lab. The STEAM Ahead® approach addresses key components of learning that parents, educators, and employers have deemed crucial for children to thrive once they enter the 21st century workforce. Kids ‘R’ Kids STEAM Ahead® Curriculum is an integrated project-based method of learning that is connected to our preschool curriculum for children ages three to five years old. It is designed to supplement the First Class Curriculum® by incorporating science, technology, engineering, art, and math into learning through inquiry, exploration, and play.
Expanding children's window of opportunities
Spanish Classes
All children from eighteen months old and up participate in Spanish classes four times per week. When children start learning Spanish in preschool, they have a window of opportunity to become familiar with it before they realize they are learning a new language. Learning a second language not only provides the benefits of being more competitive in a global economy, but research shows that learning Spanish also improves reading, vocabulary and comprehension in English. In addition, learning Spanish has been shown to improve math abilities. Learning a second language is amazingly stimulating for the brain and may help a child’s development in many social and academic areas.
Fun & comprehensive US and world map lessons
Geography Classes
Our children who are three years old or older travel around the world to learn about continents and oceans. They also get to know everything about our amazing fifty states. Children start to understand the importance of location, physical characteristics of the environment, and cultural differences as they use their senses to explore the world around them. With direction, young children begin to develop awareness and vocabulary that will help them be more successful in understanding the more complicated concepts of geography they will encounter in the future. Another learning tool that young children should be exposed to is a map. Though they may not be able to fully utilize these tools, young children can be exposed to maps and globes and begin to understand the differences between various locations.
Individualized lessons using ABC mouse® curriculum
Computer Classes
Individualized computer lessons through ABCmouse.com® are held twice a week for children three years old and up. Kids ‘R’ Kids curriculum is aligned with this computer curriculum to enhance learning. The Step-by-Step Learning Path presents the full ABCmouse.com® curriculum in a carefully designed program of more than 850 lessons in ten levels. As children complete each lesson, they are guided to the next one and are motivated to continue learning. Our Education Specialist assigns specific activities to the children and parents get a report after their child completes the class.

Gymnastic classes
Children from two years old and up enjoy a gymnastic class every week with equipment and curriculum to work on gymnastic appreciation and motor skill development through the Gymtastics® program. All instructors have preschool background and focus to ensure the program is specific for preschool age children. Each class is designed to introduce and teach the fundamentals of gymnastics. Your child will work on motor skill development as well as learn: rolling, swinging, jumping, intros to cartwheels and handstands, balancing, coordination, and much more! This program is a playful and exciting part of every child’s week.
Using technology to enhance classroom learning
Interactive Smart Board
Smart board lessons are offered daily to all children two years old and up through a software developed by smart technologies specifically for preschool. TeachSmart’s® preschool classroom management software has over 1,100 research-based, preschool activities in English and Spanish that build math, literacy, science and social studies skills. All these guided play activities are perfect for circle time, small groups and one-on-one instruction.Teachers lead a large group activity while allowing children to interact with the board individually.
Learning outside of the school
PRE-K FIELD TRIPS
The children in Suite 500 and Advanced Pre-K participate in one amazing field trip every month. We carefully plan trips and activities that enhance our curriculum and we value these memorable experiences with our children. We believe that firsthand experience can provide children with information and a level of understanding that adds elements of realism to their play, and enriches their overall learning. By adding educational field trips to our Pre-K program we teach our children the best way to learn in a fun and safe environment.

At Kids ‘R’ Kids of Jersey Village, baby wipes are included for infants and potty training children. We strive to make your day and drop off time as smooth as possible and this is one thing that we take care of. By supplying baby wipes we hope that your morning is easier and your bag lighter since is one less thing for you to pack in your child’s diaper bag! When it comes to potty training, we don’t want parents to have to worry about bringing anything extra to the school!
