Prominent Local Business Leader, Tara Abernathy, Assumes Presidency of Clayton Rotary Club

CLAYTON, NC – Tara Abernathy, highly respected CEO and owner of Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Clayton and Office Evolution of Raleigh, was inducted at President of the Clayton Rotary Club at the District 7710 Leadership Transition Banquet on Wednesday, June 30th in Raleigh, NC.

Mrs. Abernathy is also renowned as a humanitarian who prioritizes give-back to the communities she serves as evidenced through her commitment to the Clayton Rotary Club, board membership for the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, sponsorship of the Inspire and Hype mentoring programs, collaborations with Ronald McDonald House and the House of Love in Durham, and more.

As to her association with the Clayton Rotary Club, looking back 3 years, Mrs. Abernathy recalls it was after attending just a few meetings that she “was excited to see that the club was filled with established business owners, retirees, young entrepreneurs, and movers and shakers throughout Clayton. I felt a sense of community and dedication to Service Above Self, which is what I was seeking in my life.”

The Clayton Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, one of the world’s largest service organizations, where more than 1.2 million members believe it starts with a commitment to Service Above Self. The club president is responsible for planning and leading club meetings, setting goals, encouraging communication between club and district committees, reviewing expenditures, participating in decisions, and motivating club members.

Mrs. Abernathy looks forward to leading the Clayton Rotary Club in making a positive impact throughout the Clayton community and to those in need. Joining her on the 2021/2022 Board are President Elect Dana B. Wooten, Secretary Joy Garretson, and Treasurer Jacob Stewart.

The Clayton Rotary Club meets every Thursday at the Rainbow Lanes Family Fun Center, 850 NC Hwy 42 W in Clayton, NC 27520. Free breakfast and networking begins at 6:45am with a one hour meeting beginning at 7:00am.
