The toddler years are full of movement, growth, and discovery. At Kids ‘R’ Kids Waterford Lakes, we developed our Toddler Program specifically for children between 12 and 24 months. This is a time when little ones are starting to express themselves, explore the world, and believe it or not, build their independence. Our goal is to provide a safe and engaging space where they can do just that.
Growing Through Social Play
Once toddlers begin moving beyond the infant stage, they start to connect more deeply with the people and world around them. These early social experiences are the building blocks for emotional development, confidence, and communication.
Our program supports this with group activities, collaborative play, and teacher-guided interaction. While your child is playing with their new friends, they are also learning how to share, take turns, and express their emotions in healthy ways. It may look just like simple playtime, but every moment is helping your child develop empathy, solve problems, and build friendships.
A Safe Space to Explore and Learn
We know that peace of mind matters, which is why safety is always a top priority at Kids ‘R’ Kids Waterford Lakes. Our facility includes:
- Secure, monitored entry points – we only let in trusted parents and guardians for pick up.
- CPR and First Aid certified staff with specialized training in infant and toddler care – continuous learning is very important when working with little kids. Our staff is ready no matter what they may encounter.
- Emergency preparedness plans for a variety of situations – you never know what emergencies may occur. At Kids ‘R’ Kids Waterford Lakes, we are prepared to tackle any that may come up.
- An on-site “Boo-Boo Room” for small mishaps that may happen during the day
Our campus also offers plenty of space for movement and exploration. Toddlers love our indoor gym, outdoor playscape, splash pad, and STEAM learning areas. We create a balanced day that includes both classroom time and active play, because young kids need time to move just as much as they need time to learn.
Encouraging Independence
The toddler years are filled with firsts. To help support all of these first, our teachers encourage self-help skills and independence through simple daily routines. Whether it’s trying to put on their shoes, cleaning up after play, or using a spoon at lunch, we support toddlers in gaining confidence in themselves. These moments might feel small, but they are key steps in your child’s development.
