Preschool/Pre-K Teacher
Job Description
We are hiring! If you want to make a difference in children’s lives consider becoming a teacher at Kids R Kids of Tomball! Our teachers implement the daily curriculum for children in the classroom. Curriculum activities are hands on and promote each child’s development. The teacher coordinates each child’s personal care, hygiene, learning activities, and positive guidance. Maintenance of the classroom records, developmental checklists, and progress reports are integral components of the teacher’s curriculum duties. The teacher should always ensure that the classroom is consistently clean and safe, adhering to all state, local, and company’s regulatory rules and regulations.
- High school diploma or GED
- Child Development Associate Degree (CDA) or higher
- Working knowledge of the behaviors and developmental stages of infant/toddler/pre-school/school age children, typically gained by working one year or more in a school or preschool setting
- Knowledge of safety practices as they relate to infant/toddler/preschool/school age children
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Infant, Child and Adult CPR/First Aid certified at time of hire or achieve certification within 30 days from date of hire
- Employment conditional upon results of the following:
- Satisfactory criminal background-check for child care centers
- Satisfactory Drug Screen
