“Send a Card to a Friend” day is a great opportunity to teach your preschooler about the value of friendship and the power of kind words! Here are some ways that you can celebrate this day with your child:
Make cards together
Have your child help you make homemade cards to send to their friends! They can decorate the cards with stickers, markers, and other craft materials.
Write kind messages
Encourage your child to think about what they appreciate about their friends and have them write a message expressing their feelings! This is a great opportunity to teach your child about expressing gratitude and showing appreciation.
Send the cards
Once the cards are finished, have your child help you address and stamp the envelopes. Then, let them help you drop the cards in the mailbox or send them through the mail.
