“Hello, my name is Jenny, I am the Director at Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Southern Hills. I moved to Lincoln in 2006 to start a family with my husband Aaron – together we have two children Darek and Emlynn. I have a degree in Human Services from Doane College and have been working in the world of Education since 2002. I have been in Early Childhood Education specifically since 2006 – where I’ve worked as a classroom teacher with all ages, from infants to school age children, before leading centers as a Director. For as long as I can remember I wanted to be in Education and when I found The Carders I fell in love with their story and the Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy philosophy and mission. Early childhood is critical time in a child’s learning and development, and I aspire to make a difference with my love for the children, families, and teachers who come to the Academy each day. This is not just another place to take your child(ren), we want it to become an extension of your family – just as I look forward to welcoming you all into mine. My goal while at Kids ‘R’ Kids is to make your experience the best one possible and to support you every step of the way.”

“Hello! My name is Kourtney, and I am the Curriculum Coordinator at Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Southern Hills. I have many experiences working in early childhood settings, including working at the UNL Children’s Center, Little Kingdom Children’s Center, and most recently I spent three years at Lincoln Public Schools in the Early Childhood program. I grew up in Lincoln, attending Lincoln East High School before enrolling at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. There I obtained a degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies with an emphasis in Education. My passion for my position comes partly from my family, as they are all teachers. My goal at Kids ‘R’ Kids is to develop healthy relationships with the families who entrust us with their child(ren)’s care – and to create a safe and interactive space for all of our children to learn and grow.”
