Turn giving into a game! Choose daily or weekly themes like:

• “Share Something Saturday” – Pick a toy or book to lend to a sibling. Talk about how sharing helps everyone have more fun and builds stronger bonds. Encourage your preschooler to ask their sibling what they’d like to play with—it turns sharing into a thoughtful choice.
• “Thank You Thursday” – Make a card for someone who helps them. Whether it’s a teacher, coach, or neighbor, creating a card teaches preschoolers to recognize and appreciate acts of kindness. They can decorate it with drawings and dictate a sweet message for you to write down.
• “Warm Wishes Wednesday” – Decorate a note for someone they miss. This could be a grandparent, a friend who moved, or even a favorite babysitter. Including a picture or a small craft adds a personal touch that shows love from afar.

Include ideas that don’t require materials—just a cheerful spirit and a bit of encouragement.

Keep the focus on effort, not perfection. If a drawing turns into scribbles or a note is one word long, praise the thoughtfulness behind it. Use books and stories to help preschoolers see how kindness spreads and makes the world a little brighter.
