When the leaves begin to turn orange and the sunset arrives earlier, your inquisitive preschooler may pepper you with questions about the changes that can be noticed in the weather. Even if they come as rapid-fire as the questions of preschoolers often do, these inquiries provide a rich opportunity for you to talk with your little one about the seasons.
Weather changes in the fall
The fall season, recognized as beginning with the September equinox between September 21 and 24, marks one of the four temperate seasons recognized in the United States. The other seasons are winter, spring, and summer. During the fall season, daylight ends earlier and dawn arrives later, and overall temperatures cool down considerably.
