Temperatures are rising and so is your preschooler’s excitement for summer! Summer is the perfect time to have fun in the sun with your little one. Whether it’s playing outside or going on an exciting adventure, there are plenty of opportunities for you and your child to have the best summer ever. Keeping cool in the summer heat is essential for summer safety!
Splash Pad Fun
Splash pads are some of mom’s favorite inventions. They are safe, fun, and most importantly FREE! If you’re unaware of a splash pad is, it is an outdoor play area with devices such as sprinklers and fountains that spray your kiddos with water. Your kids will have an absolute blast playing for hours with their neighborhood friends! This is an easy way to get your child off the couch and into the great outdoors for free entertainment.
Interactive Museums
Interactive museums are huge for children these days. Do some research and find activities that spark your child’s imagination. There are some interactive museums that have pretend grocery stores that can make your child’s creative juices flow! There are also museums that have many educational, interactive opportunities such an earthquake simulator. Your kids will have the chance to see what it’s like to be in a tropical storm. The fun never ends at these museums. The A/C is a bonus too!
Waterparks
Grab some friends and floaties! Waterparks are a great and fun way to keep your child cool and entertained for hours on end. You can either choose to go to an outdoor waterpark or indoor. Some of the indoor waterparks have tons of activities that your children will enjoy. There are also plenty of lifeguards on duty, so no need to worry. Don’t forget to grab extra sunscreen and your shades!
