Spending Mother’s Day With Your Preschooler

Mother's Day

For most of us with preschoolers, breakfast in bed and a massage isn’t a practical plan for Mother’s Day. However, it can still be a relaxing day spent with the ones who made us a mother – our children! Check out these five awesome activities to do as a family this Mother’s Day!

Go on a Picnic

Sometimes going to a restaurant with kids is stressful, so consider packing your favorite foods and going on a picnic at your local park. Bring along a blanket and find a shady spot to enjoy an outdoor lunch together.

Make a Craft

Spend Mother’s Day making a craft together. Whether you choose painting, making jewelry, or marbling notecards, you will have a blast creating together and have a fun Mother’s Day keepsake, as well.

Cook Together

Select a favorite dish or dessert and let your child help you make it! They can help with measuring, mixing, setting the oven or timer, and decorating the table while you can handle the more difficult parts of the recipe.

Visit Somewhere Special

Zoos, aquariums, and museums are a fun way to break out of the norm and celebrate Mother’s Day! You will create new memories with your family while still enjoying some special, quality time together.

Have a Movie Marathon

Sometimes staying in for Mother’s Day and relaxing sounds like the best option! A great idea for staying in is having a movie marathon. Pop some popcorn, order take out, and watch some of your favorite movies for a great day at home with your children.

Try out some of these creative Mother’s Day ideas this year to cultivate a special day for you and your family. No matter what activity you choose, remember the most important part of the day is the people you spend it with!
