All About Halloween with Your Preschooler

halloween with your preschooler

When October rolls around, everyone’s mind goes to Halloween mode. Halloween with little ones can be so much fun, but it can also cause stress for parents. This year, focus on all the fun things you get to do with your family by planning early and prepping for the best Halloween ever.

If you’re able, volunteer at your child’s preschool to help with the Halloween party! You’ll love seeing your little one and his or her friends all dressed up for Halloween! If you can’t volunteer to help with the party during the day, you can send snacks! A few ideas are jack-o-lantern oranges and Frankenstein Rice Krispy treats!

A tip that will make Halloween less stressful for your family is to figure costume ideas out early. It’s never fun to be the parent at the costume store the day before Halloween. This year, take some time to plan in advance. If you’re doing family costumes, make sure you choose a theme that will be easy to execute. If you’re letting your preschooler choose their costume, make sure to order it early so that you don’t run into the problem of not being able to find one closer to the holiday.

Another tip for having a great Halloween is to plan something with friends! Trick-or-treating is obviously fun for the little ones, but it will be even more fun for them if they have friends trick-or-treating with them. Plan a potluck dinner for Halloween night with a few families and then all go trick-or-treating together!

No tricks here, just fun ways to make this Halloween great for you and your little one!
