Family time in any household is extremely important, especially ones with preschoolers. When children spend time with their family it allows them to feel safe, cared for, and brings a sense of guidance to their lives.
Setting aside this crucial quality time is easier said than done, but it is always possible no matter the crazy schedules, school functions, or soccer games. Family time with your preschooler should be something that is looked forward to, appreciated, and used as a time to relax and surround yourself with loved ones.

Family night
Setting aside a designated time and day of the week that kiddos are free and mom and dad are out of work can be the head-start to weekly family night activities. These family nights can be unique to your family, whether they include fun movie marathons, doing a puzzle, bowling, cooking a meal, mini golf, etc. The options are endless!
Exercise together
This isn’t every family’s cup of tea, but if it works for your family, do it. Not only does it encourage a healthy lifestyle, exercise comes in many shapes and forms so it is easy to make it fun. Go for a hike or play a sport in the backyard. Taking a walk to the neighborhood donut place? Still counts.
