Movie Fort
Get out every blanket you own and bring it into the room where the TV is (or use a laptop or tablet if your home doesn’t include a television). Build a fort with all of the available blankets and furniture, and snuggle up with your family with snacks and a favorite holiday movie!
Christmas Lights
Bundle the whole family up into cozy pajamas and take a leisurely ride through a neighborhood to drink hot cocoa in the car and look at all the holiday lights! There’s something magical about leaving the house in jammies! This one may require at least the purchase of a box of instant cocoa, but the memories made will be worth it!
Quality Time
More than anything, your child wants special quality time with you! Be intentional about spending one-on-one time with just you and your child. This can be something as simple as reading an extra story or taking a walk together. If you have multiple children, this will be even more special to you and your relationship with each child!
The Gift of Giving
One of the most important gifts we can teach our children is how to serve others, and there’s no better time than the holidays to teach this. Look into volunteer opportunities in your community at local food banks or libraries or shelters, and show your preschooler just how much we get when we give to others in need.
