Valentine’s Day Crafts with Preschoolers

Valentine’s Day Crafts with Preschoolers at Kids 'R' Kids Greatwood, preschool, daycare, childcare, learning academy

After explaining the meaning of Valentine’s Day to your child comes the plentiful opportunity for you and your family to partake in a plethora of creative crafts signifying love and sweet gratitude. There are a ton of gift ideas for your child’s classmates, siblings, and teachers, however, these gifts do not have to be store bought, expensive, or time consuming! The greatest gifts are those that come from the heart, and on this special day, can even be shaped like one as well. All craft ideas are open to free expression, but here are a few simple and cute ideas to get your Valentine’s Day craft party started.

Hand painting

Nothing seems to satisfy a child more than getting messily covered in paint! And this time, it can be on purpose! All you need is pink or red paint (in accordance with the holiday), paper, and a sweet personalized message.

Festive outfits

What is cuter than a four year old festively dressed up on Valentine’s Day? A four year old dressed up as a love bug. Not into the bug thing? Try a Valentine’s alien or just let your child’s imagination wander.

Crayon art

The best thing about this craft is that it can be created year-round, not just on Valentine’s Day! Your child can choose their favorite shades of reds and pinks, help to blow-dry the crayons, and it makes a great gift.
