In January 2003, I took over ownership of Kids `R` Kids Learning Academy of Watkinsville. I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University and have held financial positions at Georgia Pacific and Emory University School of Medicine before joining the Kids `R` Kids family. I love to cook and my husband and I enjoy spending time with our boys, playing tennis and golf. I have been with Kids `R` Kids since its opening in January 2000 and have been in the early education field since 1995. I have a Child Development Associate Credential and the National Administrators Credential and have previous teaching experience in Pre-K and first grade classes in the Atlanta public school system. I also was an Afterschool Program coordinator for grades K-5. I was chosen "Teacher of the Year" in 2000 at Kids `R` Kids and was selected the "Parent`s Choice Award" recipient in 2001 and 2002. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children and decorating my home.

I joined Kids `R` Kids in Bogart as an Assistant Director in January 2005. I have been in early education since 1989 both as a teacher and an administrator. I have a Bachelor`s degree in Biblical Studies, but I also majored in Social Science and Elementary Education, and have recently received the National Administrators Credential. I was in an "Allstate Band" in high school and won recognition as an "Allstate Flautist" as well. I have been involved in music with church and school ever since. My husband, Chris, and I are very involved in the children`s program at our church, and we enjoy watching old movies, going on walks and hanging out with our nieces and nephews. I have taught children from six weeks to 12 years of age and have loved every minute of it! I have been the lead teacher in Pre-K 1 since 2000 and work at the front desk in the afternoons. I have worked in early education since 1990 and have been with Kids `R` Kids since 1994 - I started at the Kids `R` Kids in Norcross, working for Mr. Tom and Mrs. Carol. I have a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science in Early Education from the University of Georgia. I also have specialized training in Best Practices and Creative Curriculum. I was selected "Teacher of the Year" in 2001. I have two cats and two dogs. I enjoy reading, watching movies, skydiving and going to Disney World!

In 2012, I was chosen Child Care Giver of the Year for a small center by the Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children (GAEYC). I rejoined the Kids R Kids team in 2015. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, traveling and diving into a good book.

I grew up in Jackson County, GA and graduated from Piedmont College with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I have worked in many areas of childcare for 20 years, as a teacher, director and assistant director. I rejoined the Kids R Kids team in 2019.m interests include hiking, camping, fishing and yard work. I have two daughters, one of whom is in college, and a dog.
