Rainy days can be disappointing for parents and children alike. However, with the right activities, a rainy day can be a lot of fun! Here are some preschooler-friendly activities to keep your preschooler entertained on a rainy day:<\/span><\/p>\n

Build a pillow fort\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

You may not be able to go to the playground, but you can bring the playground inside! Get creative and think outside the box while building a pillow fort with your child. Chairs and a blanket can be rearranged to make a simple, easy to clean up fort, or you can get really crazy with pillows, cushions, and chip bag clips to make a pillow castle! Your preschooler will be entertained for hours playing inside. Everything is more fun under the blanket roof of a pillow fort.<\/span><\/p>\n

Venture outside<\/span><\/h4>\n

A little water won\u2019t hurt a preschooler! As long as you have the appropriate gear, you and your child can go on a splishy-splashy walk. Make sure your preschooler is wearing their rainboots, jacket, and perhaps a hat before you head out – this is part of the fun, afterall! Your preschooler will enjoy carrying an umbrella and stomping in puddles. For even more fun, you can use the things around you to turn it into a game! You could float some leaves in a little stream of water heading down the street to a storm drain, or set out cups and check at the end of the day to see how many inches of rain you got! Even simple activities like this will make a rainy day fun and memorable for your preschooler.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
