Walking the thin line between getting sunburnt and getting burnt out on boredom can be tricky, but with a few quick ideas, you can plan a summer that is memorable, invigorating, and best of all, out of the heat!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Get Thinking!<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Get out of the house and hit up a museum. Some of the most exciting museums skew toward natural history, biology and science. Science museums and activity centers often cater to younger visitors with engaging exhibits that are comprehensible for preschoolers and their parents\/caregivers alike. Most science centers, however, charge an admittance fee. For the more cost-conscious among us, however. . .<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Get Artsy!<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Check out your local art museum. Many of the larger, more historic galleries in the nation have trended toward offering free admittance to their permanent collections for all patrons (young or old) in order to appeal to a wider spectrum of visitors. Youth activity centers within art museums are also on the rise, to give a hands-on experience for preschoolers and older kids. Bonus: Many museums, galleries, and arts organizations offer art camps and classes to help keep your preschooler engaged long-term!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Get Sporty!<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Parents might remember the dingy, stinky ball pits of yesteryear, but this isn\u2019t your grandma\u2019s bounce house! When the weather is too hot for outdoor sports, check out a nearby indoor activity center. A recent fad is the trampoline park\u2014fitted with enough bounce pads and foam pits to fill the heart of everyone from the most amateur gymnast to the Cirque du Soleil-wannabes. Looking for something a little more extreme? Indoor skydiving takes the fear of heights out of the equation and most allow kids as little as three years old to fly!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Going Out Not Possible?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sometimes, staying at home can be the most inexpensive option, but that doesn\u2019t mean the kids can\u2019t have fun!
