Having a structured day will help preschoolers learn to self-regulate and develop healthy habits. Here\u2019s a few tips to make sure your preschooler follows a daily routine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Start the day with a plan<\/span><\/h4>\n

Having a clear schedule for the day can help your preschooler understand what to expect. This should include what activities you\u2019ll do, naps and meals, and some down time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Encourage structure<\/span><\/h4>\n

Make it easy for your little one to keep track of the day with a visual routine. It might be helpful to make a chart of their activities and put it somewhere they can easily refer to. This will teach them to be organized and follow daily routines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Include transitions<\/span><\/h4>\n

Set aside time for transitions. Allow your child to transition from one activity to another without feeling rushed! This will help them transition more easily and keep them on track with their daily routine.<\/span><\/p>\n
