The return to preschool has come as the summer months fade away. It would be a wise choice to spend some time befriending your preschooler\u2019s teacher. There are many benefits that can come from this relationship.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many children experience back to school jitters. You may be able to help reduce your preschooler\u2019s anxiety by getting to know her teacher. This is especially possible if you are able to bring her along to meet her teacher before preschool begins. Often the more a preschooler knows what to expect, the more comfortable she is with new situations.<\/span><\/p>\n

By befriending your preschooler\u2019s teacher, your preschooler will see that you trust her teacher allowing her to feel more comfortable in trusting as well. Seeing her parent and teacher united through respecting one another demonstrates that the important people in her life are working together. That provides an encouraging environment open to growth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Your preschooler\u2019s teacher is an extension of the teaching you have begun. Whether it is two years or four years, it is completely understandable to desire to ensure that your preschooler will continue to grow and develop well. You are better able to evaluate how well he is doing when you and his teacher communicate regularly.<\/span><\/p>\n

No one knows your preschooler better than you. Befriending her teacher will allow you to share personal insight that will help foster a learning environment. Likewise, due to the hours your preschooler spends at school with her teacher, her teacher will have valuable information concerning things she is discovering and seeing with your preschooler.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can have common goals of success. Different families define success in different ways. The only way to establish common goals is through communication. You are trusting the teacher to support the goals of your family. Knowing the teacher gives insight to their perspective.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Befriending your preschooler\u2019s teacher may not seem like an important endeavor. However, cultivating that relationship can yield great results. A small investment of time can make the back-to-school season a fun and successful time for your preschooler.<\/span><\/p>\n
