Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Wake Forest understands a parent’s desire for their child to be involved in extracurricular activities, but time is often limited. That’s why we offer several highly specialized programs at our location once a week.

Spanish Classes

For our early preschool-prekindergarten students, we provide Spanish classes! We feel blessed to have such a diverse family representation at Kids `R` Kids. For that reason, we introduce your child to many different languages throughout their years with us. Kids `R` Kids offers our students a weekly Spanish lesson provided by a visiting professional who specializes in Spanish and communication to our parents through monthly Spanish newsletters.

Also, each classroom has a circle time box filled with teaching aids representing Spanish. Teachers introduce the days of the week, counting, basic greetings, colors and more. There’s no better time to learn another language than during the early childhood years.

Physical Education

Our PE program offers our students a variety of health and wellness education topics ranging from balance and coordination to healthy eating habits; through interactive games and hands on examples. Our PE instructor, in combination with your child’s classroom teachers, provides a safe and enthusiastic environment to promote overall health, self control, motor development, and energy exertion.

When students receive effective PE they do better physically, mentally, and emotionally. Effective physical education assists students to better focus on their academics, develop better emotional balance, and reduce risk of obesity or future illness.

STEAM

STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. It allows students to connect their learning in these critical areas together with arts practices, elements, design principles, and standards to provide the whole pallet of learning at their disposal. STEAM removes limitations and replaces them with wonder, critique, inquiry, and innovation.

Our specialized STEAM instructor works with students in small groups and 1 on 1 to expose your child to varying experiments that build on each other throughout the week. A brand new objective arises each week to ensure your child stays engaged and actively learning .

ABC Mouse

ABCmouse.com is a comprehensive digital learning resource for Pre-K stidents in which we include within our curriculum! It is standards-based and includes over 8,500 learning activities that are engaging and proven to be effective. It supports research-based best practices in early childhood education, and the activities support the areas and elements of the Child Development and Early Learning Framework. This provides young learners, their families, and teachers with highly engaging and effective learning tools that build a solid foundation for academic success.

DANCE Classes

This class will guide your child in the discovery of ballet, tap and creative movement on a weekly basis. Students will gain a sense of direction, learn to balance, hop, skip, and jump. Just 4 TOTS uses Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop to teach your child the fundamentals of dancing. Your little dancers will also learn rhythm and coordination skills through dance. Children enjoy Monet Dance PAS creative and fun approach to dance and get excited about going to class every week!

Also, we have many classroom opportunities to do music and movement through individual creative dance and teacher-directed activities. So, come dance with us.

TUMBLEBUS

A pre-school gymnastics program designed with your child`s age and ability level in mind. Using a wide variety of equipment such as bars, beams, and vaults we highlight your little athlete`s skills by incorporating various music, shapes, and visual aids. The program provides a unique and fun way for children to receive the physical fitness that is so important to their development. The Tumblebus programs build self-esteem in children as they accomplish each physical skill in the lesson plan. Most importantly, Tumblebus is a non-competitive program that will challenge, excite, and reward your child.

SOCCER:

Soccer Shots sessions are age appropriate and are led by trained Soccer Shots instructors. Each 30 to 40 minute weekly session is held at our school. The primary objective of each session is to creatively introduce your child to the sport of soccer. Character development, physical development, and fun are guaranteed in this exciting program.

OT FITNESS:

Through building upon their core principals of DRIVE, PASSION, AND HARD WORK – OT Grind Time aims to provide a unique training experience which focuses on the individual needs and goals for each of our students. The program teaches the fundamentals of sportsmanship and team-building through exercise.
