You want to enroll your child in a preschool educational program that is capable of helping nurture all of the necessary developmental skills he or she will need to succeed in school. While some preschools require that your child display some basic developmental skills before enrollment, our experts at Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of University Center are able to help your child from day one no matter the age or stage of development. However, if you want to give your child a boost before starting preschool in order to fast track development, then you might consider helping your child learn one or two of the following skills.
Bathroom etiquette
While we can help your child develop good bathroom and hygiene skills, you may want to do this yourself. Many parents feel that teaching a child to use the bathroom independently is private and that it helps bonding with their child. However, if you teach your child these skills before preschool, then our teachers will build upon what he or she already knows and your child will have a head start, leaving more time for the development of other skills.
Independence
Part of independence is your child’s ability to be away from you for extended periods of time. To get your child on the road to independence, you can leave him or her with a family member or a friend for short periods of time, which will allow him or her to become familiar with being in a new environment and with someone other than yourself. We are here to help your child learn to become independent even if your child has no prior experience.
