Love is in the air! Stores are beginning to sell heart-shaped everything and some people are being more lovey-dovey than usual. It\u2019s officially the start of the Valentine\u2019s Day season! Valentine\u2019s Day is such a fun holiday for preschoolers. Here are a few tips to make February 14<\/span>th<\/span> the best day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Valentine\u2019s Day Cards <\/span><\/h4>\n

Valentine\u2019s Day cards are one of the most fun things about this day when you\u2019re young. Instead of buying those Mickey Mouse Valentine\u2019s Day cards at the store, make custom cards with your child! Go to your local craft store and buy a variety of pink, red, and heart-printed scrapbook paper. For extra fun, buy some sparkly glitter glue and heart stickers. Now that you have all of your supplies, you can get to making the cutest cards ever. Cut the scrapbook papers into hearts and start decorating. Your kiddo can make these cards for their classmates and also family members. Grandma will beam with joy when she receives a homemade Valentine\u2019s Day card from one of her smallest grandchildren!<\/span><\/p>\n

Sweet Treats <\/span><\/h4>\n

It\u2019s the perfect time of year to make sweet treats almost as sweet as your preschooler! Try baking heart shaped sugar cookies with your preschooler and their friends. What a fun day for a cookie decorating party! Purchase red, pink, and purple jars of frostings from the store, and don\u2019t forget those adorable Valentine\u2019s Day sprinkles! Your kiddo can deliver these cookies to your neighbors or they can bring them to their class Valentine\u2019s Day party (with permission from the school first). <\/span><\/p>\n

A Day of Love <\/span><\/h4>\n

Valentine\u2019s Day is a great opportunity to teach your kid about love. Love doesn\u2019t have to be the mushy-gushy stuff that your kids probably associate it with. Love can be helping your grandma walk her dog or donating to the food pantry. Teach your preschooler that love isn\u2019t just about two people kissing or going on dates. It\u2019s so much more than that!<\/span><\/p>\n
