For preschoolers, this week-long event can be filled with activities that are both fun and educational, creating a memorable reading journey. Here’s how you can make the most of this celebration with your little ones.
Virtual Storytelling Sessions: In today’s digital age, take advantage of virtual storytelling sessions. Many authors and libraries offer online readings during Read Across America. This allows children to experience stories from a wide range of authors and narrators.
DIY Bookmark Crafting: Engage your preschooler in making their bookmarks. Use materials like cardstock, stickers, and ribbons. This craft activity not only sparks creativity but also gives them a useful tool for their reading adventures.
