Celebrated on January 8th every year, Bubble Bath Day is all about scrub-a-dub-dubbing in the tub! Kids and grown-ups can both get into the good, clean fun of this holiday! Here are some fun and creative ways to celebrate this special day with your preschooler.
First, gather the necessary supplies. You’ll want a bubble bath that is safe for your child’s skin – no extra fragrances or dyes. Throw in some bath toys, washcloths or loofahs for even more fun! These items can be found around the house or at your local grocery store, making Bubble Bath Day an easy, budget-friendly activity for you to enjoy with your child.
Once you have your supplies, it’s time to start the fun!
Create a bubbly masterpiece
Do you love encouraging your child to explore their creativity, but dread cleaning up the mess? Turn your bathroom into a one stop shop for artistic expression and cleaning up. Bath crayons allow your child to make art in the bath, and can be bought online or made at home using sugar and food coloring. These colors come right off tiles and tubs with water, so no need to worry! Your child may not believe their luck at being allowed to draw on the walls!
Get creative with toys
Bring out the toy boats, rubber ducks, and other floating bath toys to make the experience of taking a bubble bath even more exciting! Your child will love playing with their favorite toys while they soak in their fortress of bubbles.
Have a mini spa day
After your preschooler finishes up their bubble bath, help them relax by giving them a mini spa treatment, such as painting their nails or brushing their hair into a style of their choosing.
