When we think of Valentine\u2019s Day, we often think of the different candies that are sold. However, as the day approaches, you may be looking for alternatives to those sugary sweets. With a little bit of creativity, you can make this Valentine\u2019s Day special for your preschooler, but with less sugar. Here are just a few ideas that can get you started if you want to give your preschooler a sugar-free valentine:<\/span><\/p>\n

Crayon Craftiness<\/span><\/h4>\n

There are endless options for valentines that do not require candy. Have you already accumulated a myriad of broken crayons? Broken crayons can be melted into various shapes and placed inside of baggies for your preschooler\u2019s valentine. Staple on <\/span>cardstock<\/span><\/a> saying, \u201cI\u2019m crazy for you,\u201d and you are done! Be sure to not let your preschooler handle hot, melted crayons.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Magnificent Magnification<\/span><\/h4>\n

For another idea, look no further. \u201c<\/span>I\u2019ve had my eye on you<\/span><\/a>,\u201d uses cardstock, a magnifying glass, bag, and a stapler. There are many things a preschooler would enjoy seeing larger, so this valentine is sure to be a <\/span>big<\/span><\/i> hit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Doh Delight<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u201c<\/span>Doh<\/span><\/a>\u201d you need more ideas? Preschoolers often love Play-Doh. You could buy a mixed pack of Play-Doh or purchase individual tubs. Print out the cute \u201cDoh you want to be my Valentine?\u201d onto sticker paper, cut into 2 inch circles, and affix the sticker to the top of the Play-Doh lid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Popcorn Party<\/span><\/h4>\n

If your preschooler really wants to take food as his valentine, consider using <\/span>popcorn<\/span><\/a>. This valentine requires microwavable popcorn, pink cardstock, scissors, and tape. Print out the template on cardstock and attach them to the popcorn. This is quick and easy but still delightful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though it takes some time and a little work, it can be easy and fun to help your preschooler make sugar-free valentines this year. I am sure the candy will not be missed because these valentines are sweet enough on their own. Happy Valentine\u2019s Day!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
