Your preschooler\u2019s teacher has probably said this many times to your kiddo. It\u2019s important to teach your children the value of teamwork from a young age. You want what\u2019s best for your child and teaching them how to be a team player now can impact their character dramatically in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sharing is Caring <\/span><\/h4>\n

Sharing doesn\u2019t come naturally to little ones \u2013 it\u2019s taught. Plan playdates with your kiddos and their best friends to teach them the importance of sharing. Some kids tend to get possessive with their newest toys and don\u2019t want their friends to even touch their Elmo plush. Teach your child to take the time to share their favorite toy with their friends! This may be a challenge at first, so try suggesting that your kiddos play a game such as \u201chouse\u201d that requires them to work as a family and team!<\/span><\/p>\n

Win or Lose <\/span><\/h4>\n

A great way to teach your preschooler about being a team player is showing them that it is okay to win and lose. Play board games with your child and teach them that sometimes they\u2019re not always going to win. You don\u2019t want your little one to be the kid at the birthday party who throws a temper tantrum when they lose at Monopoly or a video game. This is also an awesome opportunity to teach your child to celebrate their friend\u2019s accomplishments, instead of being jealous.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teamwork<\/span><\/h4>\n

Families are all about teamwork. Assign small chores to your child around the house to show them that it takes effort from everyone to get things done! When you\u2019re preparing dinner, ask your preschooler to set the table or grab condiments from the fridge. Little gestures like this will make your child feel like they played a part in helping and will also teach them that everything isn\u2019t always handed to them.<\/span><\/p>\n
