However, when it comes to nutrition and exercise, it can be hard to find a happy medium. Thus, encouraging your preschooler to be healthy is an even more delicate line. Nevertheless, the health of your child is extremely important, and here are some <a href=\"https:\/\/mommypoppins.com\/newyorkcitykids\/25-exercise-games-indoor-activities-for-kids\">tips to start the conversation<\/a>:<\/p>\n<h3>There is No Rush<\/h3>\n<p>In today\u2019s social media, it\u2019s highly possible that you have come across those Crossfit babies, little five year-olds who look like a miniature Hulk. That\u2019s not what we are going for here. What\u2019s important is the overall development of your child and instilling good and healthy habits now that will follow them through life. Especially when talking about young children, it\u2019s important that it is more about the lifestyle and general health than it ever is about results.<\/p>\n<h3>Follow the Leader<\/h3>\n<p>As in most things, your child is going to follow your lead. If you are a big runner, or love a certain sport, or do yoga twice a day, then your kid is probably going to express interest in those things as well. Encourage and foster that interest and curiosity and don\u2019t turn them away from it. If they want to attempt a Sunrise Salutation, by all means let them and enjoy their awkward and clumsy attempts to keep up with you. By not forcing them towards it but rather allowing them to come alongside you, it will create a healthy space around the idea of working out.<\/p>\n<h3>Go Outside<\/h3>\n<p>As the smart parent that you are, any trick to get energy out of your preschooler is probably already being implemented. However, it cannot be overstated that the most important thing with your preschooler\u2019s health is keeping them ACTIVE. As young as they are, they don\u2019t need a workout plan, they just need some creative direction. Play tag, go for walks, teach them to ride a bike. Foster a love of the outdoors and the opportunities for creativity and adventure that it holds.
